NY-bound Greyhound Bus Runs Off Road In North Carolina

A New York-bound Greyhound passenger bus ran off the Interstate 85 highway in North Carolina after it blew a tire last Wednesday evening, according to reports. The right front tire of the bus blew off, causing the bus to skid into nearby trees off the highway.

Forty-nine people were on the bus at the time of the accident. Some passengers were treated for cuts and bruises, however, none were serious or life-threatening.

Three other vehicles were hit by debris from the blown tire. It is not known if the people in the vehicles had reported any injuries.

The bus had departed from Atlanta and was on its way to New York City.
