Pedestrian Killed By Out-of-Control Car In Brooklyn

Marcia Arthurs, 51, was struck and killed by an out-of-control car at Pennsylvania Avenue and Cozine Avenue in East New York on Wednesday, according to reports.

The driver, a 29-year-old woman who has not been identified by name, was heading southbound on Pennsylvania Avenue in her Toyota sedan when she lost control of the car, slammed into a taxi cab, and ran onto the sidewalk where she hit two pedestrians, according to authorities. The car struck Arthurs and a 59-year-old man.

When emergency responders arrived at the scene, they found Arthurs pinned under the car. She was rushed to Brookdale Hospital, where she was pronounced dead from her injuries. The man was treated for several lacerations to the face, but was listed in stable condition.

The driver remained at the scene. The investigation is ongoing. There have been no charges filed at the time.

For grieving families, it’s important that a full investigation be conducted. For that, a wise first step is to discuss the matter with a legal professional experienced in car accidents.
