Bicyclist Killed, 6 Injured In Barclays Car Accident

A bicyclist and six others were injured in a car accident that involved two cars at the intersection of Flatbush Avenue and Fourth Avenue in Brooklyn on Monday morning, according to reports.

A 37-year-old man driving a Honda Pilot was heading northbound on Fourth Avenue when his car lost control and collided with a gray Toyota stopped at a red light on Dean Street. The Honda continued, crossing a cement median and hitting a bicyclist. The driver of the Honda proceeded to hit a black Mitsubishi on Atlantic Avenue before he stopped.

Witnesses told NBC News that the Honda was speeding as it was trying to catch the light at the intersection.

The cyclist, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. Three drivers and three passengers involved in the accident were taken to the Methodist Hospital and were in stable condition.

The driver of the Honda SUV was questioned after the car crash, but no arrests have been made.

For grieving families, it’s important that a full investigation be conducted. For that, a wise first step is to discuss the matter with a legal professional experienced in car accidents.
