Father And Son Killed After Car Crashes Into L.I. Cemetery

A father and his young son were killed when their car crashed into St. Charles Cemetery in East Farmingdale, Long Island around 4 p.m. on Saturday, authorities said.

Ravi Maharaj, 44, of North Amityville, and his son, Lochan Maharaj, 11, were driving their 1995 Nissan Maxima on New Highway when the man lost control of his car and crashed into a fence and several headstones in the cemetery.

Maharaj was pronounced dead at the scene. His son was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bethpage where he was later pronounced dead.

For grieving families, it’s important that a full investigation be conducted. For that, a wise first step is to discuss the matter with a legal professional experienced in car accidents.
