Driver Killed When Car Crashes Into Queens Home

A man was driving his car home from his niece’s graduation party, when he lost control of his car and crashed into a home in Queens on Sunday morning, authorities said.

Louis Benjamin, 39, suddenly lost control of his 2001 Acura sedan on Elmont Road in North Valley Stream, ran through a fence and into a home on Hook Creek Boulevard.

“My husband and I were sleeping when it hit,” the homeowner told reporters. The homeowner declined to be named. “It shook the house, we thought the ceiling fell.”

The homeowners discovered Benjamin in the car, and tried to pull him out even though the car was sparking, the homeowner said. When police arrived, Benjamin was pronounced dead the scene.

For grieving families, it’s important that a full investigation be conducted. For that, a wise first step is to discuss the matter with a legal professional experienced in car accidents.
