Female Pedestrian Fatally Struck In Car Accident

Rosa Maria Sinchi, 73, was struck and killed by a car in Port Jefferson Station at 5:05 p.m. on Saturday.

The driver, Thomas Sammartino, a 17-year-old male of Port Jefferson Station, was driving his 2002 Honda on North Bicycle Path when his vehicle struck Sinchi. The teenager was uninjured and stayed at the scene, according to reports.

Sinchi was brought to the John T. Mather Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

For grieving families, it’s important that a full investigation be conducted. For that, a wise first step is to discuss the matter with a legal professional experienced in fatal pedestrian accidents.
