Driver Killed In City Bus Collision On Staten Island

The driver of a Lexus crashed into a city bus and was killed on Monday morning in Staten Island, according to reports. The accident occurred on Victory Boulevard and Signs Road in Bulls Head.

Samuel Cruz, 32, was killed when his SUV veered into the path of an S62 bus, hit the driver’s side, and then struck a fence. Cruz was ejected from the SUV, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 52-year-old male bus driver suffered non-life threatening injuries to his left leg, according to reports. The lone passenger on the bus was unharmed.

Police say Cruz was likely speeding moments before the crash. The accident is still under investigation.

For grieving families, it’s important that a full investigation be conducted. For that, a wise first step is to discuss the matter with a legal professional experienced in car accidents.
