Trevor Loftus Killed in New York Crane Accident

A negligent act by an owner and general contractor killed yet another construction worker.  An Irish man has died in New York City after part of a crane fell on top of him. The man has been named as 40-year-old Trevor Loftus. Mr. Loftus owned a construction company and worked between New York and West Limerick over the past two years.

The NYFD also said an investigation is under way as to why part of the crane malfunctioned and fell.  Mr. Loftus was killed when a piece of the crane malfunctioned and fell upon him, striking him in the head.
