Shelves Crush Shoppers at Discount Outlet on Morris Avenue in the Bronx

Eight people are recovering Tuesday after suffering various injuries when shelving collapsed at a dollar store in the Bronx.  Several tall units full of canned goods and other products toppled one after another, landing on customers around 3:45 p.m. Monday at Discount Outlet on Morris Avenue in the Morrisania section.

Fire officials say the collapsing shelves created a cascading effect, burying people under piles of merchandise. Responding firefighters had to remove the goods by hand and cart them onto the sidewalk.

The attorneys at Morgan Levine Dolan file lawsuits on behalf of many injured people hurt due to the negligence of building and store owners.  Many of these cases involve collapsing shelves, slip and falls on liquids left on the floor and sharp objects protruding from shelves and clothing racks.

We have recovered millions of dollars for our injured clients.  If you have been injured due to the negligence of a store owner, contact Duane Morgan of Morgan Levine Dolan today.
