A womas was seriously injured when she was struck by debris that fell off scaffolding in Midtown Monday morning.
The incident happened on 42nd Street between Madison and Fifth avenues around 8:30 a.m.
An 8- to 10-foot long pipe crashed to the ground in front of a McDonald’s from scaffolding two doors down.
The impact left a dent in the sidewalk.
EMS arrived on the scene and transported the victim, who had bought coffee from a Cafe Metro moments earlier, to Bellevue Hospital.
