Pedestrian Seriously Injured In Murray Hill Access-A-Ride Crash on East 34th Street between Lexington and Third Avenues

A pedestrian was hospitalized in serious condition after being struck by an Access-A-Ride van driver in Murray Hill Thursday morning.

The crash happened around 8:45 a.m. on East 34th Street between Lexington and 3rd avenues. The pedestrian was transported to Bellevue Hospital in serious but stable condition, and van’s driver suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

A witness reported, “They crashed into traffic on the opposite side of the street. The driver somehow got from the Eastbound lane, all the way across the two westbound lanes, and up onto the curb and into the building on the north side of the street.”
