Just like many of our clients and their family member, a city bus struck and killed a 75-year-old Bronx woman Friday, Gloria Mabry was hit at 6:45 p.m. by a BX38 bus as it made a left turn from Co-op City Blvd. onto Dreiser Loop.
Mabry ended up getting caught under the rear wheels of the bus, horrified witnesses said. Paramedics rushed Mabry to Jacobi Medical Center, but doctors were unable to save her. The MTA will try to defend this accident and hopefully will be forced to compensate her family for their terrible loss.
When an accident with an MTA bus happens, there is a very thorough and detailed investigation performed by MTA employees and supervisors. However, these people have one job and one job only….to make it look like Gloria Mabry caused her own death. This is why hiring the right lawyers is the most important step for her family to take as soon as possible.
At Morgan Levine Dolan, we represent many family members of elderly New Yorkers who are struck and killed by cars, trucks and buses. We have the resources and experience to know what to look for in MTA investigation reports and how to prosecute cases on behalf of our clients.
