An NYPD officer killed in a crash on a bridge ramp is being remembered for her compassion and love of life.
A police honor guard bore the flag-draped casket of Officer Elisa Toro at her funeral on Monday in Coney Island.
Toro was off duty on Tuesday, December 10th when her car crashed on an exit ramp of the Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge. Her vehicle rolled and struck a vacant storefront. She died at the scene.
Two fatal car accidents occurred in the same area in 2011.
Toro’s survivors include two teenage sons.
