Fire truck crashes into SUV at Waring Avenue in Bronx injuring four, two critically

Four people were injured, two critically, after a fire truck slammed into an SUV in the Bronx Friday morning.  The fire engine was heading north on Laconia Avenue when it slammed into a sliver Honda SUV at Waring Avenue about 8:30 a.m.

Four victims, none of them firefighters, were taken to Jacobi Medical Center. Two were in critical condition and two were in serious condition, but all four were expected to survive.

Accidents involving emergency vehicles present several difficult legal issues.  It is very important to hire an experienced lawyer as soon as possible after an accident happens involving an emergency vehicle.  A detailed, separate investigation into how fast the fire truck was traveling is very important.
