Nicholas Farella, a town public works employee, died from injuries suffered in a tragic accident last week. He was working on the back of a sanitation truck on Water Street when the vehicle backed up about 2:54 p.m., striking a utility pole and crushing him.
He died last Monday night during surgery at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx.
