A cyclist was killed in the Claremont section of the Bronx early this morning. A 36 year-old man was biking west on St. Paul’s Place at around 6:38 a.m. when he was struck by the driver of a vehicle traveling north on 3rd Avenue. The unidentified man was pronounced dead at the scene, and the driver remained at the intersection.
Bicyclist accidents are happening more often now that the Citi Bike Share Program has been started in New York City.
