Cyclist Killed In The Bronx This Morning

A cyclist was killed in the Claremont section of the Bronx early this morning. A 36 year-old man was biking west on St. Paul’s Place at around 6:38 a.m. when he was struck by the driver of a vehicle traveling north on 3rd Avenue. The unidentified man was pronounced dead at the scene, and the driver remained at the intersection.

Bicyclist accidents are happening more often now that the Citi Bike Share Program has been started in New York City.  This means many people will be learning for the first time what happens when a bicyclist gets hit by a motor vehicle.  There are special insurance rules and very short time frames within which to file paperwork to receive medical benefits for accident related injuries.

If a loved one has been injured in a pedestrian or bicycle accident with a car, contact Duane Morgan of Morgan Levine Dolan today.
