A 3-year-old was killed after being struck at an intersection in Queens. The incident occurred last night at the intersection of Cherry Avenue and Main Street in Flushing, Queens.
According to police, Allison Liao was crossing Main Street by Cherry Avenue with her grandmother when a Nissan that was trying to make a left turn onto Main Street fatally hit the young girl. Under the New York Vehicle and Traffic Law, any car trying to make a left turn must yield to any pedestrian. However, criminal charges are not pending, which makes no sense whatsoever.
