9-Year-Old Girl Struck by Van in Corona

The 9-year-old was struck by a van near 38-17 111th St. in Corona earlier this evening.

The driver remained at the scene, and the child was taken to Elmhurst Hospital, where she is listed in serious condition.  The police continue to treat accidents like these as non-criminal matters and charges are not expected.
