Construction Worker Injured Near Javits Center

Emergency crews rushed to a construction site across from the Javits Center earlier this morning.  It has been report a worker fell into a hole while working on the construction site. 

The man was deep in a tunnel under a site on the north side of Eleventh Avenue and West 34th Street when he tripped over a large piece of equipment and hurt his leg about 11:40 a.m.

Responders were still on scene tending to the victim at 11:40 a.m., about an hour after the accident, the FDNY spokesman said.
