SUV Kills Woman Blocks From Her Queens Home

A 22-year-old woman died late last night after an SUV struck her about six blocks from her home. The car accident happened near the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway.

Juliana Busto, of 46th Street, was trying to walk across Laurel Hill Boulevard inside the crosswalk at 47th Street when the westbound 2002 Chevy Avalanche struck her about 11:15 p.m.

She was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital Center where she was pronounced dead, police said.

This has become an almost daily occurrence in New York City. Everyday there is a new report of a pedestrian being struck by a car either while walking on the sidewalk or within a marked crosswalk.

Our law firm represents innocent victims in these and other types of car accident cases. We make sure all possible benefits and rights are afforded our clients. We hold those responsible for causing these horrific accidents accountable for their actions. We win large compensation awards and settlements for our injured clients.

More than being exceptional and effective lawyers, Morgan Levine is starting to take an active roll in trying to prevent these types of accidents from happening in the first place. We are starting a grass-roots movement to curb speeding on New York City streets. We have called upon the NYPD and the Mayor’s office to issue a new set of priorities and guildelines in ticketing speeding vehicles in New York.

If you would like to help in this effort to push for a more effective way of slowing cars in New York and avoiding accidents like these, contact Jared Levine at Morgan Levine Dolan.
